Reddit user Backforward24 has created an illustrated map in which he paints the globe with book covers most popular within their country of origin. He is literally putting literature on the map. The enlarged photo can be found here and the full literary list can be found here.
Personally, I find the map a little stereotypical in regards to what piece of literature impacted the population the most. There’s a lot unsaid in this illustration. However, I understand that it’d be very difficult to create a list that truly gives justice to the literary wealth of each country. Either way it makes a mean reading list for those who are stuck on what to read next. It’s quite assuring to see some familiar covers though…
